ADHD and addiction

I have over 6 years experience in coaching teens and adults with adhd and addiction problems. My approach is constantly following the latest research in these fields, both alternative methodologies as well as standards.

I take a holistic approach and start with the body. Detoxing parasites and unclogging the system. A problem which most people, unknowingly have which will aggravate and worsen trauma and adhd symptoms. Quitting drugs and loosing weight is extremely difficult until this has been taken care of. Same goes for the mineral balance in our bodies, we absorb microplastics, aluminium and other heavy metals from our food and clothes. This causes a lot of unnecessary anxieties and depressions that again are extremely aggravated by these substances. So we start by taking care of these problems.

After that we move on to harmonising the nervous system and the body by releasing stuck emotions through somatic movements and toning. Very effective methods for neurodivergent people where thinking ones way out of problems usually fails.

Once the head and body is functioning properly without unnecessary disturbances we draw up a plan with clear goals and work together to define the appropriate methods to reach those goals. One part is practical and related to your day to day life, how to optimise your thought and behaviour patterns to more easily navigate life, relationships, work and your inner life. The other part is about healing the wounds which created these difficulties in the first place, this is not an easy task and comes after we established a strong foundation and a stable life. Once these things are in place we can go deeper and find the root cause of things which, eventually, will lead to a liberation.

Holistic

Integration work

Research on therapy with non-ordinary states of consciousness  is currently re-emerging with, yet again, extremely promising results. Note that I do not provide any kind of medicine or ceremonies, there are other people who is doing a good job at that already. However, something which has been missing is the integration part of the experience. Without it we might end up chasing experiences one after another, in each one it feels like we “get it”, that we find the solution to our problems and everything seems so obviously clear, just to fade over time and put us back to where we were without making any lasting beneficial changes in our lives. 

By integrating our experience, whether it was a good one or bad one, we can maximise the benefits derived from them. We can start using these experiences as catalysts for real long lasting changes in our life.

To do this we need to make sense of something which cannot really be made sense of, the experience of non-ordinary states of consciousness. We need to communicate with our subconscious and bring these matters to the light of counciousenss. I use different methodologies to help you better understand the underlying messages, ranging from neuro-art forms to archetypes readings to different types of counselling methods.

Public lectures

I hold public lectures where I tell my story from birth with adhd, through trauma, into addiction and my path our of it. Simultaneously I share my analyse of my experience from different psychoanalytical perspectives. This is to give a more fundamental understanding both of the mind of someone who is using and experiences and of the reasons and explanations behind these behaviours and events.

Afterwards we go into solutions and finally questions and answers. 

Each lecture can be tailored to the situation and context. I also do motivational speeches about my journey which is directed towards businesses and people currently facing similar problems.

Hands on

Workshops

For professionals working at schools and social institutions I do workshops regarding dealing with kids, teens and adults with adhd and/or addiction problems. This if for situations where a more hands on approach is applicable. We learn about what the current science is saying about these things, about what I’ve learned from working many years with people who are facing these difficulties as well as some approaches and methodologies for putting this knowledge into practice.
